I’m giving Finnegans Wake a 0 only because the I created a scoring system for this site too rigid to give an N/A. I haven’t completed everything I’ve scored but I’ve also never been so thoroughly defeated by something that me not completing it is due to being unable to instead of just being uninterested by it until today. I really wanted to give this book a chance, I was aware it was a tough read but I wanted to challenge and I have a lot of time free at the moment. I even got a physical copy just so I could be more likely to finish it off but I only got through two pages before calling it quits. I don’t understand a word this man is saying, it reminds me of how I read in Spanish in that a only vaguely understand what I’m reading and have to kind of guess much of it through context but even worse. It’s dense to, in my opinion, its own detriment however there are people who love it for what it is and I think I’ll just respect them because I could never.
